Hello everyone. I attended a LAN party last weekend and we played Black Mesa. It was really fun.
I observed that on my Linux Mint 20 version, Black Mesa displayed Half Life 2 style menus, whereas the Windows 10 version showed box style menus.
People mentioned that Black Mesa on Windows 10 offers better graphics and smoother gameplay. I tried running it on my Windows 10 partition and played for a short time. The menus were different, but the gameplay felt the same. The visuals and performance were identical.
Do you have any opinions?

I believe windows performs better than mint, but if you don't see any difference, go with mint.

Really? My experience is completely different. I consider Windows 10 to be a major drain on resources, slow with older systems, and unreliable. If your machine has a fast SSD, plenty of RAM, and a powerful processor, Windows 10 works fine, but Mint or Ubuntu are much better in my opinion. Windows 10 is only suitable for two things: gaming and running Windows-only apps. I’m just checking if anyone noticed any differences in performance or visuals between Black Mesa on Windows 10 and Linux, aside from the menus.

I understand your perspective, and it's true many Linux users would support this view, though it remains my personal opinion.
