OS: Windows 10
I need backup solutions that handle files one by one using incremental backups, essentially mirroring data from a primary drive. My setup includes two internal SSDs (1 TB each) and a removable HD tray on the front for additional backups. For my D drive, I prefer avoiding full-file backups. If I accidentally delete a directory, I want to easily restore only the necessary files by moving them from the backup drive to the internal D drive without restoring the whole volume. Any recommendations?

Backup solutions - FreeFIleSync or SyncBackFree
Identify variations between original and destination, copying just the updated files.
Macrium Reflect - Complete full backups with incremental updates; image mounting allows retrieval of specific files.

I have been relying on SyncBack for many years. I use SyncBackSE, which I subscribe to, since I need to back up several files with Greek names that the free version cannot handle. SyncBack is very adaptable and manageable; I use it both to an external drive and a cloud service in one backup process. As its name implies, it only saves files that have been modified since the previous backup.

The file structure remains unchanged, and no single image file is generated that needs loading.

It creates a copy of the file and folder layout on the backup drive. Files remain available there in the same way they are on the active drive.
