Question at BioTime 9.5 using ZeroTier or TailScale - Login Denied?
I set up BioTime 9.5 on my PC and did the same for ZeroTier. I can reach the login page (like 192.168.192.10:443), but it displays "Forbidden Request." That prevents me from logging in. Even with ZeroTier or TailScale, the issue persists. On a local network without a VPN, I can still access BioTime 9.5 without problems. The firewall is already disabled, and ports 80 and 443 are open on the server. I need a way to connect to the system when away.
BioTime:
Is this similar to a biometric attendance system? And you want to prove you're present even when you're elsewhere? More details required.
the 192.x.x.x would serve as a local network IP address. if you must reach beyond your LAN, you should use a wan/man or public IP, rather than your local one, and check what your public IP is by searching online.
Hi sir, yes, it is a Biometric Attendance System installed on a PC within the company, linked to the biometrics device through a LAN connection.
2. Yes, sir, I will connect to the local IP of the Server PC using ZeroTier or TailScale.
The actual local IP of the server PC is 192.168.110.204.
After setting it up with ZeroTier, it received an IP address of 192.168.192.100.
This allows access from anywhere—outside the LAN or through ZeroTier/TailScale in my home.
It seems BioTimes permitted IP range configurations, which you need to set properly.
