As mentioned, I use an Audio Technica AT-2020 USB mic connected to my ORICO 7 USB3.0 PCI-E adapter, which frequently disconnects during use with the AT-2020. This leads to my audio devices switching back and forth, repeatedly hearing the connected device and then the disconnected one until the PC freezes and requires a restart. I have turned off power saving on my USB drives, but the issue persists. It seems the USB port or the power supply might be the problem, especially since I switched to a headset USB and it still experienced the same issue. It appears to be related to the power draw from additional devices.

i've noticed some discussions about using an orico pcie card and encountering similar issues, like damaged devices. personally, i'd consider returning if possible. otherwise, it's best to ignore it.

I believe there might be a solution by rearranging the cables and giving it a break for a day. I observed that my pc isn't detecting the mic, even though the blue light indicates it's active, it doesn't appear as an audio device. When I tried connecting it to my laptop and adjusted the cable, the laptop shut down. It might be worth trying a new cable for the mic to resolve the issue.
