For that purpose, I would proceed. The XTX competes with the 4080, outperforming it in raster while underperforming in raytracing, but remains quicker than a 3090. Additionally, it offers 24GB of VRAM. AMD is advancing with their upsampling technology, and it seems only time will reveal if FSR can match DLSS in both quality and performance. Moreover, they appear less inclined to restrict future versions by forcing compatibility issues on existing cards, unlike Nvidia. My main recommendation is to enroll in the AMD Vanguard program as soon as you receive the card—getting access to the beta channel has significantly shifted my perspective, turning a mostly negative view of the RTX 2080 around. I can't elaborate further due to confidentiality, but I strongly believe it's worth it.
