Since 2020 I've experienced this strange problem. Loading, texture loading and rendering stopped working, causing a strange delay and loading everything ahead of me. Before that the game ran smoothly on HDD, I even switched to an SSD afterward—it's faster but the problem remains clearly present, so it isn't related to the hardware. My system has an i7 7700, GTX 1060 and 16 gigabytes of RAM.

I found a video that matches exactly what I'm facing, and someone suggested it might be an engine bug. Anyone else encountered this and how to fix it?

I've tried completely reinstalling Windows, even switching from Win11 back to Win10, trying different drivers, but nothing helped. I'm really stressed about the issue.

I'm pretty sure it's correct across all the games I play. Do you have a particular method in mind for checking it?

I think there might be a misunderstanding. Witch 3 can handle 13 gigabytes of VRAM at 5120x1440 resolution using my 6900 XT.

I played this game on the exact same computer for years and it worked fine until something changed.
