Question about Windows Server 2019
Question about Windows Server 2019
Let me share the context. I'm a university student who received Azure Dev Tools for free, which came with a few Windows 10 education keys. Recently, the policy changed and the only available options were Windows Server editions. A friend from school, who uses a standard PC, bought a new laptop without any operating system in mind. When we brought it over for setup, we noticed the change and couldn't activate Windows. He was offered a choice between Windows Server edition or not using it at all. I'm considering whether this setup would work for a typical user who needs to run daily applications. Also, using Windows with a watermark isn't an option since he needs it for work and doesn't trust the vendors.
Hello, a real license key for Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1 will activate your Windows 10. Purchase it from Walmart: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (OEM Software) for $87.99. Running Microsoft Windows Server Standard 2019 might be too much but feasible, though not advised. If you plan to run that Server OS on a DELL PowerEdge or HP ProLiant with multiple GPUs for gaming... GREETINGS! Elsa Ballerina
I reside in Greece, so I believe it wouldn't be possible to purchase it from Walmart. The official keys there are around 150-160 euros, which is roughly a quarter of what most students earn. That's why I'm inquiring about the free version.
