Question about Windows 10 and MSI Ghost GS60
Hey everyone, just acquired an MSI Ghost GS60 with Windows 8.1 already installed plus the free Windows 10 upgrade. I wasn’t sure how much unnecessary software MSI put in; assuming it’s a gaming machine, I thought a clean setup would be easier. But Norton trials and various unwanted programs are already there, and the recovery tools still bring in that extra clutter. After upgrading to Windows 10, I’m now aiming for a fresh install. I’ve struggled before with other PCs trying to find the right drivers and apps, especially since I’ve used OS X for my laptops recently. I’m cautious about a clean install because past experiences with laptops have been tricky. My question is: do you have any guides or tips from others who’ve done this? I’ve noticed MSI’s driver packages seem incomplete. If anyone on the forum has had success with a clean Windows 10 setup, could you share your preparation steps and what worked for you? Thanks!
