Question about where to download X-ray printer drivers. DryPix, DryView, DryStar...
Hi,
I’m looking for suggestions on how to assist a hospital in a developing country with purchasing an x-ray printer. I don’t even know where to find the drivers for these devices. Could you share any options or support available?
Are there groups or programs that can provide help with this situation?
Much more than just drivers needs to be considered.
Ideas: I searched for the first printer along with the term "driver".
I discovered the link http://listing.driveragent.com/0/prt/KODAK_DV5800_20.
Similar steps can be applied to the other printers listed.
But proceed with caution, as many sites may appear offering drivers that aren't secure or reliable.
Inspect webpages thoroughly, paying attention to download buttons.
Ensure your AV and malware software are current and functioning properly.
Include searching for the printer’s user guides, manuals, and parts lists in your research.
Locating drivers is important, but ensuring the printer remains supportable, maintainable, and repairable is equally crucial.
Also evaluate availability, sources, shipping times, and setup costs before making any investment.
Certainly, but this only occurred after three clicks and a 2007 year reference. At fifteen years old, I didn’t see any reason to try downloading the driver. Instead, I just shared the link.
The DriverAgent top link is intended for Server 2003. The two Kodak links are for XP.
This is where I decided to stop:

From the page:

Server 2003.
My first search for "KODAK DRYVIEW 5800 XP driver" returned over 2,460 results. You can adjust the search settings to narrow them down. This applies to all three printers.
Keep in mind: XP is no longer supported, and depending on your hospital’s version, there might be no driver available at all—or it may not work properly. Or the driver could be incomplete or not functional. You need to take into account your operating system, hardware, software, and drivers.
As your advisor, I know more about the full context and requirements of your task than anyone else. Therefore, you should rely on your expertise to look for and obtain the drivers—if they exist anywhere. One site I checked seemed to be offering the driver, but I won’t share it unless confirmed.
For assistance, consider reaching out to Eastman Kodak directly."
