I tried to connect this device to copy data easily without having it take up much space on my system. I also considered using a Blu-ray drive for the same purpose. So far, my ultra HD M-Disc isn’t showing up at all. Although the Blu-ray light appears, it doesn’t eject and doesn’t appear as a letter on the drive. This is my first time using one of these cables, so I’m not sure if the problem lies with me or with the setup.

From the Amazon review, it appears the product initially seemed promising but proved problematic. Users found it difficult to access information from their drives, especially with multiple hard drives or those requiring significant power. Many expressed disappointment, recommending purchasing an enclosure instead. The experience was described as a complete waste of money.

Designed for 2.5" HDDs/SSDs. USB output delivers 5V only.
Bigger drives such as 3.5" HDDs and optical discs need 12V.
Does not function.

Observe that the cable specifies 2.5" disks. This is designed for laptop drives that don't need high power. Another version exists with its own power supply for 3.5 inch drives, possibly compatible with your Blu-ray disc.
