Using this setup on a Z590 board with an 11900K should deliver the advertised speeds. Performance compared to a 3600MHz CL18 kit would likely be similar, as both are high-end DDR4 configurations.

Unlikely, again unlikely. It wouldn't be worth it for a 5800X.

You already own a 5900X and are considering upgrading to a 11900K. You're wondering if this change would improve RAM performance when using Ryzen processors.

Performance would improve significantly. And sure, the RAM is also important.

He mentioned interest in the z590 and 11900k models. They should work well if listed as compatible with the motherboard. 3600 should also function nicely, though it lacks some older features.

But he already have 5900x though. No cpu will work out of the box with 4000mhz. Might get lucky and will work with XMP but it's not guaranteed.

The 11900k starts at 3200, leaving room for an additional 4000.

I understand it isn't certain. Still, it should be manageable if we try. I'm running at 4000MHz on my 9700k at 1.2v.

Review the 11700k/11900k discussion on overclock.net. Those with 11700Ks reached a maximum of 3600/3733 on gear 1 (1:1). Achieving 4200mhz+ is feasible with gear 2 (1:2).
