Hey, I know that you cant transfer your licence key for my base it free one year upgrade. I really enjoy Window 10 and i know you are still able to use the same key but you have to contact Microsoft but i was wondering it off buying a key off now off Microsoft Software Swap off Reddit or i should call Microsoft because i haven't come in contact with their support. I am currently in Australia i was wondering is the call service free cause i have unlimited calls to landlines and 1300 etc but not International as it already been used up for this month and i was wasting time waiting for someone to answer there is no point. The reason i ask because i will most likely to buy a key in a year time off Reddit. Main Question: Is worth the bother calling Microsoft Support to reactive my windows or just get new code due the fact i have do it in a year time[Free Upgrade] .

They probably won’t share details clearly, so reaching out to Microsoft might be necessary. If possible, try letting them know about your issue directly.

Shifting from AMD to Intel likely affects things. What’s the typical wait time? How does customer support handle it, and what details should they provide?

You're swapping computers and want to transfer the OS? That's against Microsoft EULA (see section 2. c. (iii)) What's allowed, is to reinstall a retail-copy or transfer the license to another user or to transfer the OS onto another internal drive within the same device(i.e. from HDD to SSD). You have no choice but to reinstall whichever OS you had before and reupgrade that in your new machine. Even thou I believe it's in vain, you can always contact the customer support. There's a phone-activation option. Use that. It's an automated system. Since the OS won't be legit, it'll re-direct your call to a customer service agent. But you have to attempt the activation first.

It was placed on my SSD, so I was trying to avoid reinstalling Windows and instead just need to reactivate the keys or replace them if necessary.
