So I was thinking of getting a new gaming laptop and came across the Colorful X15, its an offer I cant not look at as its considerably cheaper BUT can i trust this brand, ive never heard of it and all the reviews on YT are chinese. So if its trusted i might buy it, let me
know if I should go ahead with it or find a slightly worse laptop for the same price but it’s completely trustworthy.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! I was considering purchasing a new gaming laptop. What is your current laptop model? I plan to choose a well-known brand since I don’t have much experience with this area. There’s a chance I might become another test subject for their issues. Not updating BIOS is one of the concerns. While drivers can be found on the manufacturer’s support site, BIOS updates are typically only available from the device maker itself. The fact that you’re seeing such low prices could be because there aren’t many buyers left and the seller needs to sell off stock.

My current laptop specifications are: GTX 1050, 8GB RAM, i5 8th Gen, 1TB HDD, and 60Hz. Yes, it's quite old, which is why I'm considering a replacement. Now that I think about it, you're absolutely right—I don't feel the need to buy something unproven. The model I was evaluating is the HP Victus 15, featuring an i5 12th Gen with a GTX 1650. It matches my budget perfectly. Although my maximum budget is around $830.
