I recently purchased an XPS17 but it hasn’t been ready for a week. Can anyone tell me about its battery life? I bought the 4K Touch Screen Model with an i9 11900h and RTX3060. I think the battery lasts around 97WHr, but I’m not sure how to calculate the actual runtime at full power.
It relies completely on the tasks you're performing on the machine. Generally, expect 3 to 4 hours for activities like light Office work and email that utilize only the Intel GPU with minimal CPU usage. The time is significantly reduced if you're gaming or doing other intensive tasks that heavily use the 3060.
It's straightforward: 97WHr equals 97 hours when drawing just 1W, and just 1 hour when drawing 97W. The rest falls somewhere in between, depending on how much current is drawn.
