Question About tabs, previewing, restoring in Chrome
I hope this clarifies things. I’m experiencing a minor issue that has been developing over the past few days, which is mostly just a small annoyance rather than a serious concern. I’ll try to describe what’s happening:
This occurs in Chrome (tabs).
client portal (full-sized Chrome window)
email (half window, one side of screen L)///////// calendar (half window, other side of screen Rt)
Quickbooks (half window, one side of screen L)
There’s a file explorer open below the left side in a 1/4 window, where I switch between folders and Dropbox. Above that, there are additional tabs for extra file explorer functionality as a 1/4 window on the top left. (This happens when adding items to the portal.)
To keep my workflow smooth, I usually leave Quickbooks and the calendar window open together, take notes, and then return to the taskbar. By hovering over the Chrome icon (shortcut), I can select other tabs via the preview that appears. Normally this is done by clicking the preview directly.
For about a week now, I’ve noticed that when I go down and preview off the taskbar, clicking the preview doesn’t bring the tab to the top of the active tabs. If I minimize the file explorer and reopen it, the preview/click method works again for a short time on Chrome tabs. However, this behavior doesn’t seem to change when I move or edit within the file explorer window. I’m not sure what’s causing this issue.
I don't have to recall what's open. There are four tabs and a file explorer window. The goal is to see when I hover, preview, or click them so the selected tab appears or becomes active.
