I’ve upgraded my Ryzen 5 3500 6C 6T a bit to test if it boosts performance, and to my delight it did. The main reason is that it’s a prebuilt CPU, so the changes come from tweaking settings rather than hardware modifications.

A CPU remains a CPU regardless of its origin. Whether it comes from a ready-made system doesn't change its classification. Manufacturers like AMD and Intel design processors for particular audiences.

It's unlocked like all other Ryzen models, with the exception of the X3D.
