Hello, new poster! You're looking for some assistance here. I'm just starting out with networking and understand the basics. You've got three 4-port switches connected in a chain, but you have an HP Procurve 2650 with 48 ports that was given to you. How would you set this up as a simple switch or router? You want to reduce the number of 4-port switches and tidy up your home network. I've only found basic setup guides online so far. Please let me know if you need guidance and direction. Thanks!

Restore the Procurve to its original factory settings; it will boot up as a basic Layer 2 switch with every port grouped in one VLAN. Connect one of your ISP router’s LAN ports to it, and link all your other switch cables into the same port.
