Hey Folks,
My partner has an MS-Surface Pro (probably version 7). It's functioning fine, but I'm curious—am I seeing a brand new touchscreen laptop? What would be the best value option? With a bit of future-proofing... without overspending. I've heard Dell is solid, but I'm not sure about Lenovo or HP, or if there are other good choices.
Usage:
Univ. Prof. Chemistry - so teaching.
screen sharing
drawing pad / stillo via usb
everyday stuff - email / office / surf - etc.
Looking forward to your suggestions...

A touchscreen laptop is acceptable beyond the most basic models with underpowered processors. I prefer Lenovo among the top brands. The Ideapad Flex 5 works well and features a foldable screen.
