Hello! You have a 14600KF with a Gigabyte Z690-GAMING-X-DDR4 and need to upgrade your RAM. You're looking for 32GB, preferably from TridentZ or Corsair models with RGB lighting. For the speed, you can choose between 3600MHz CL16 or 4000MHz CL18, among other options.

Two units of 16GB storage. Trident Z 3600CL16 works well.

It depends on if you'll stick with this setup or not, generally 2 sticks should be fine, since most motherboard offer 4 slots (You can always sell them or give them to friends to free up space) The corsair ones seem fine, but watch out with the MHz: Not every motherboards suppport every speed. 3600 should do well and 3200 is good enough too, 4000 = paying money for something you don't need (except for if you're an e-sporter)

2 sticks are what I suggest, though I’m considering a 3200MHz CL16 right now because the details seem outdated.

I think I'll keep this setup for at least four to five years. And yes, I enjoy high-level e-sports gaming. From what I see, my motherboard can handle up to 5k+ MHz with overclocking and 3200 without it (probably O.C. with XMP). I'm likely to go with two 16GB sticks at 3600CL16.

Looking for the most affordable options between 3200c16 and 3600c18. Branding isn't important since the ICS are mostly random unless you target specific models like crucial or Klevv 3600c18 over 3200c16. The CL is not helpful—avoid 3600c16 unless it's a 16-16-16 build and not just another bad version with junk files. If memory performance matters, consider OEM Hynix HMA82gu6djr8n running at 4200-4500 RPM. Don't rely on buying extra RAM to boost performance; manual tuning is necessary for real gains.

OC typically stands for XMP, and the 3600 at cl16 appears to be an optimal setting currently. Make sure it doesn’t affect your cooler performance if it’s air-cooled.

It looks like a solid option—your 3000MHz+ RAM is definitely a strong pick.

O.C. stands for overclocking. This covers automatic overclocking features like XMP/DOCP/EXPO. For a 3200 MHz clock speed, the situation varies. The highest JEDEC-approved DDR4 is 3200 MT/s, though CL 20 isn't commonly available. If your RAM is around 3200 MT/s CL16, it will still need overclocking or XMP to reach that speed.

Yes, you should use 3600MHz Cl-18 and turn on XMP.
