I recently added another 16GB of RAM for my PC. (Note: I already have 16GB installed.) When I check Task Manager, it shows 32GB of RAM. So everything seems okay? Well, I opened CPU-Z and confirmed it lists 32GB. However, it’s showing dual-channel mode even though I have four sticks installed. My main concern is whether the remaining 16GB will still function properly. Will I be able to use that extra memory even if it’s running in dual-channel? Here are my specs for reference: All I’m really aiming for is the additional GB of RAM.

The B360 motherboard supports either a single channel or dual channel configuration. You might be expecting a quad channel setup.

The motherboard supports two memory channels and four DIMM slots, everything is functioning properly.

Only two channels exist here, which highlights why placing the sticks correctly matters (typically A2 over B2 over A1 over B1).
