Corsair confirmed this yellow is a qc mark they've encountered before.
Just checking if a slight brown stain on the top of the capacitor in the new PSU after about a week is typical.
A technician examined it and said it seems like "probably just burning flux" and didn't have much concern.
Someone mentioned it might be a quality control paint marker.
The surface appears flat with no bulge; it initially looked like a grease stain, but looks thicker or more yellow in certain areas when viewed with the flashlight.
Your thoughts are welcome—thanks for reading.

It initially had a strong pungent odor for several days. The smell spread through all case fans, but later shifted to a chemical/plastic scent only near the PSU. A video is available. The stain might be from paint marker used as a quality control item, though it could also resemble black sharpie. It seems possible there was an electrolyte leak on the right side. The flash video made the stain appear more yellow, giving a slight brown glint to the naked eye. QC mark? Clearer evidence suggests it matches one they've encountered before.
