I'm checking if moving to a 9600x or 9600x3d version would truly boost performance by 100%. I'm also curious about how those numbers are being measured and whether the Phenom 1100T is really that powerful.

Keep it simple, leaning towards Intel and minimizing AMD focus. Userbenchmark tends to favor Intel.
Check other comparisons for a more balanced view, see the link:
https://www.cpu-monkey.com/en/compare_cp...en_5_9600x
Expect around four times the performance difference.
A solid list, though Corsair RMe feels average quality. I’d opt for a higher-end unit.
For a gaming rig, a proper PSU should be Tier A.
Recommended options: Seasonic Focus/Vertex/PRIME, Corsair RMx/RMi/HXi/AXi, Super Flower Leadex Gold/Platinum/Titanium.
PSU tier list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...JW...1973454078
Tier A will suffice, while Tier A+ is better.
My three PCs are all powered by Tier A PSUs—specifically Seasonic PRIME 650 Titanium (A+), Seasonic PRIME Ultra 650 Titanium (A+), and Seasonic Focus PX-550 (A). Full details with images in my profile.

After changing from Fx 6350 OC-ed to 4.9 GHz with the first Ryzen 1600x at stock speed, most benchmark tests showed significant improvement, while the User Benchmark barely changed.
