Hi, i built a new pc without any problems before. But today when I tried to connect a controller, the front ports showed a device driver error while the rear port worked properly. It's a bit frustrating since the cable is short, making it less convenient to use the rear ports.

What is the controller's make and model? What is the case's make and model? Have you verified that the front panel wires and connectors are correctly connected? Which rear I/O ports on your motherboard are you using to connect the controller? What is the motherboard's make and model?
