Question about patch panels
I have several large patch panels available at no cost. I don’t expect to need 10GbE since I already have it in a peer-to-peer setup. My question is whether connecting Cat6 onto a Cat5/5e panel would cause any problems. Also, my network won’t require 48 ports anytime soon—though 24 ports are getting full quickly.
I think it's possible. I'm not confident about achieving the complete Cat 6 range.
