But when high CPU demand appears—say 80-95% (rarely reaching 100% in real play, unless you're extremely constrained)—or when a higher single-core speed is advantageous, a modest 4.1Ghz upgrade could yield noticeable improvements, around 8%.

We generally accept any performance boost that doesn't compromise stability. After all, we're passionate about our builds and that's what drives us. LOL.

In my setup, for instance, I have a [email protected] system. The maximum boost speed is 4.2Ghz, giving an 11.9% improvement. Adding a memory overclock from 3000mhz to 3200mhz, along with reduced latency through tighter timing settings (from 15-16-16-35 to 14-15-15-28), plus some secondary adjustments, brings the total performance up by roughly 1.5%. That's a 13.4% overall increase—free of charge, aside from the time invested.

Interestingly, others claim this gain is minimal, yet many are willing to spend thousands for upgrades promising 8-10% better IPC in the next generation. So, we usually prioritize what fits our needs without needing extra cooling hardware unless it's essential. Just a small tip.
