Devices on the same network using WPA2 can share access points and IDs. They may also exchange malware. Regarding your smart home, you can export your SSID to reset your Wi-Fi whenever needed.

they "might" connect any computer linked in some way, whether inside or outside your home, and technically your home can send or receive malware. However, with solid security—especially free options—and basic common sense, the likelihood of it happening is low.

Thanks! Yes, you can enable guest mode on your router and perform tasks if you set up a VPN there.

guest networks aim to separate IP addresses from the primary network. a vpn offers strong privacy benefits, while a reliable antivirus (such as defender) and an effective antimalware tool like malwarebytes enhance overall security.

I have Bitdefender and on my main PC I use VirtualBox with a basic VPN for live soccer. Great tips on the guest mode on routers, thank you! Can I ask how to achieve something similar to what you mentioned about the SSID? If not, it’s fine—I really appreciated your help and thanks!

I don't really use a VPN, @leadeater. Bitdefender isn't an anti-malware solution either, even though they claim it is. I've been testing the "flawless" version that Linus used in a video, but within a month I discovered four malware programs using Malwarebytes. Free

I'm using very few malware bytes, but I don't have anything. That's probably because I'm relying a lot on virtual machines. My main OS stays clean, and I only use it for safe sites like this one, YouTube, and similar. Thanks!
