Question about Microsoft Office Pro
Question about Microsoft Office Pro
I rebuilt my desktop computer with all new components, including the M2 SSD drive for the operating system. I purchased a copy of MS Office Pro 2013 years ago and it functions properly. They are asking $495 for the updated version. After spending an hour with an MS representative, she eventually conceded that I needed to retrieve the old email address or password for my MS account when I initially downloaded the software. I suspect I should have saved that information earlier but didn’t. While I was able to download the SW onto the new operating system drive, I’m unable to activate it even with the product code. I’m considering whether transferring files from the old SSD might work, possibly involving some registry adjustments. Regardless, it’s frustrating because I believed I could continue using it without issues.
But it can't be turned on"
Does it operate, yet lacking a proper license?
Or is it completely inactive?
You need to record the initial license details and keep the installation file safe.
I nearly lost a $1,000 CAD package in that situation.
Close enough.
