Hey!
I’m looking at this from a different angle. With your 3080 FE card and the seller’s 3x8 PCIe Strimer V2, I need only a 2x8 pin from the PSU and it works with a converter to the 12-pin version that your card supports. (I believe it’s called 12vhpwr.)
Can I connect just the 2x8 pin directly to the PSU and then use the 3x8 to the 12-pin version? I’m wondering if this setup would be fine, especially since there’s a newer 12vhpwr model now. The seller is offering it at a discount, so I might still think about using a converter.

I wouldn't sacrifice your GPU's performance for looks. What is the make and model of your PSU, and how old is it?

Yeah, I understand the cable is available. I mentioned it in the post. I plan to keep the main power plugged in and just connect the two side pins while leaving the center one unplugged. Then I’ll use the factory splitter on those, which should make it look better. Does that sound good?
