I initially purchased a set of Lian Li Strimer Plus V2 for the 24 pin connector with the L3-Connect controller. Everything functioned perfectly. Later, I acquired the 2 x 8 pin strimer plus for my GPU. After connecting everything properly, my GPU failed to boot, requiring me to firmly connect the connectors again. This issue repeated during a second cold boot after adjusting the cables slightly, forcing me to open the case and reapply the same steps. It led to automatic hard drive initialization upon successful startup. This reminds me of my previous setup, which often booted after physical stress and required manual connector alignment. Is this related to the Lian Li extension cables? The PC worked without them connected.

Strimers frequently cause problems. They increase the resistance in the cables, leading to a reduced voltage at the end of the cables. This can become particularly problematic when the power supply lacks stable voltage. What is the brand and model of the PSU and GPU?

The Focus GX 750 uses thin PCI-e cables which isn't ideal. Did you connect two separate cables from the power supply to the stereo or is it a single daisy-chained setup?

One cable is made up of a daisy chained set of 2 x 8 pin connectors. I connected the strimer into those two connectors. The PSU doesn't have a single 8 pin connector. Yet, if it boots at all, it remains quite stable even during intense gaming sessions. The main issue is the inconsistent cold boot. I don’t want to risk damaging my hard drive’s OS because of this. My important data is there. I recall it often needs the third attempt before I could get my GPU running. Perhaps I should rearrange the order, as my GPU only needs a single 8 pin connector?
