Question about installing Windows.
Question about installing Windows.
I purchased a budget laptop for a family member to stay connected during the pandemic. I was just testing it to make sure everything was functioning properly and ran a Windows Defender scan, which detected a hack tool called AutoKMS. This indicated that the Windows copy wasn’t legitimate. I asked the seller about the program used and couldn’t find any mention of KMSpico. When I inquired, he explained that he uses KMS commands in CMD to activate Windows. I’m wondering whether using those commands in the command prompt will still trigger an AutoKMS detection on the system.
Autokms is a tool for updating Windows and Microsoft Office. I’ve tried it for testing purposes only. If you need it removed, you can download the Autokms executable and delete the patch file—though I don’t suggest doing that. A better option is to reinstall Windows with a genuine version.
