11th gen was meh around here far as I recall, folks skipped it and went to 12th. 12th is now outdated. 13th and 14th gen are now avoid because of microcode problem which is supposed to be fixed but not trusted, compounded by mobo oem's trying to spruce up the voltage too.
That leaves ryzen, zen & zen 2 in the dust, zen 3 outdated (can't hit 1440p 144hz without a x3d which is out of production on the new battlefield 6). Zen 4 and 5 left standing.
Everything else, frankenbuild. There's a lil red alarm going off on every component here for one reason or another.
The i7 11700k has a 125w tdp same as the 11900k. The 11700 non k has a tdp of 65w that might be a bit more in proportion. But no idea how it benches for gaming performance, have to look it up.
You can get zen 3 parts but for the price, not far from zen 4 if you need stable, and current, there isn't much else to stand on. Older games will work on the frankenbuild, new games will struggle.
And the biggest flashing red light of all - sy but nobody here buys second hand psu's, or gpus, or cpu's. And would not recommend this course on a good day.

The metrics in HWmonitor indicate that the i9 can reach up to 300w+ usage, and this would likely apply to the i7 as well. If so, a suitable CPU recommendation for this motherboard would be to choose one compatible with both platforms. Considering an AMD switch is also an option.

The i7-11700K's maximum power usage can differ, sometimes reaching as high as 290 Watts when under intense demand.
