You purchased a physical copy of Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin. After installing it on Steam, you encountered an update request for 11.8GB, which you couldn’t complete in time, so you paused and closed the app. When you reopened it, the version displayed was 1.01 with calibration 2.01. This version is correct for your copy, and there’s no indication of a wrong version—just a minor update to the required files.

Did you terminate Steam correctly or merely close the application? If the latter, it may continue operating in the background, fetching updates as needed. You can simply confirm the game cache’s integrity—it will inspect the files and retrieve any missing items.
