Hello, I just finished assembling the following PC:
- MSI PRO Z790 A WIFI DDR5
- 14700KF
- Gskill Trident Z5 RGB 2x16GB 6400MT CL32
- EK Nucleus 360 RGB AIO
- Samsung 990 Pro
- Corsair MP510 (reused)
- SATA SSD (reused)
- 2x HDD (reused)
- Corsair RM850X PSU
- NZXT H440 (reused)

After putting everything together, I removed the pre-applied thermal paste and applied a thermal grizzly. When I power it on, everything lights up, but the CPU red light stays on. I’ve tried several fixes:
- Flashing BIOS to the latest version via the Flash BIOS button with two different USB drives
- Re-seating the CPU (there was some extra non-conductive thermal paste)
- Changing the RAM sticks and using only one in the A2 slot
- Unplugging all three SATA drives
- Verifying that all power cables are securely connected

I’m not sure what’s causing the issue. Anyone have any suggestions?

is the aio cooler functioning properly? refer to the instructions for connecting the cpu fan port on the motherboard or as specified in the guide.

It is connected, yet it shouldn't affect anything since the CPU won't warm up enough if it's running for less than a minute.

Did you connect it to the CPU fan connector, so the system recognizes a fan? Your initial idea was BIOS, but you mentioned you already tried that. Are there any bent pins in the socket?

The pump is connected to the PUMP_FAN header, while the three radiator fans are linked to the CPU_FAN header.
