Question about case fans energy usage
It seems unlikely because fans are low-wattage parts. Still, you should sum and sum up the wattage needs of all installed components. Consider current and future requirements. Opt for the highest wattages listed in each component’s specifications. After adding them, increase by 25% to set a suitable power baseline for the PSU. You can use various online calculators to help with this process. Check the existing PSU details—make, model, wattage, age, condition, etc.—since an outdated or low-quality unit might struggle even if it meets the rated wattage.
Thanks for the update. The calculations from several sites show loads between 370-380 and recommendations of 430-440, which brings the total to around 550 after adding 25%. With your 650W 80+bronze PSU, which is 7 years old, I think extra fans shouldn't be an issue as long as the system remains stable.
