I bought a Canon mf735 printer recently. Everything seems fine, but I'm struggling to figure out how to change the default storage location for scanned documents. The Remote UI lets me tweak settings, add buttons, and define actions, but when I try to save a file named "Scan to folder," it ends up in C:\Users\Steven\Documents\ instead of the intended path. Since I have limited mobility and speech difficulties, I'm reaching out for help on this forum—anyone with experience might know how to resolve this issue. Thank you.

Do you have any particular reason to think that the default location can be changed?
The location might be adjustable by digging around into the installation folder and editing a file..............or not. Canon may have deliberately not provided you with a way to adjust the location through a traditional interface. For reasons known only to Canon.
I have a somewhat similar situation going on now myself regarding where to save a file when using a particular application. It wants to save to A and I'd like it to save to B. Apparently no-can-do. I'm just living with that rather than putting my fist through a wall in frustration. Takes me 8 clicks to get to the folder location rather than 2.

I figured it out. Open the MF scan utility, apply color scans, and adjust under "Save Settings." You might want to try it in B/W too. Hope this helps!!!
