Without the cloned drive are you able to get POST?
When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model.

CPU speed isn't confirmed by Intel, OEM cooler is installed, motherboard is ASRock Z87 Pro 3, RAM includes two 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 modules, storage uses a 512GB Samsung SSD/HDD, GPU is internal, power supply is Evga 600B, chassis features a fractal design, operating system is Windows 10, monitor is Samsung, and the PSU is more than five years old.

Which particular Samsung SSD model? When reassembled with the original drive, does it start up? If yes, share a screenshot of your Disk Management window.

If it's not even in the original configuration, then the issue lies elsewhere.

i'm not assuming the mobo is faulty; i checked the power supply and it works with a tester.

Which processor model is being referred to? It appears to be one that lacks built-in graphics.

What you refer to is removing the cooling fan. If it's absent, the computer might fail to start.
