Could running at higher RAM speeds harm the motherboard? For instance, if your board is rated for 4300mhz but you're using a faster RAM, would it be safe to use it?

I don't believe Intel CPU prioritizes RAM speeds as much... (Ryzen does take care of it).
Are you using an XMP profile? If so and the RAM is functioning correctly, everything seems fine.
