Question about ASRock B550M Pro4 and boot LED after PC crash.
Hello everyone,
I was playing dota2 and then my 1-year-old PC stopped working suddenly. When I tried to turn it back on, the system didn’t pass the POST test, and the BOOT LED stayed lit. I couldn’t even access the BIOS. I left it running for an hour but nothing changed. I checked for hardware issues—only one RAM stick, swapped RAM between sockets, booted with a minimal setup (CPU and 1GB RAM), and tried bootable USB sticks—but still failed at startup. Could you help me resolve this?
I have the following specs:
ASRock B550M Pro4
AMD Ryzen 5 5500
2x8Gb RAM
ASRock RX 6500 XT
PSU: 1stPlayer DK 6.0 600W
Storage:
- XPG SX6000 PRO 256GB NVME PCIE (My windows here)
- Seagate 1TB Sata3 - barracuda series
I've tried this before but haven't cleared the post or updated the BIOS yet.
Reset the BIOS using a jumper to clear CMOS while the system is powered off, then attempt the minimum configuration again. M.2 SSD and SATA HDDs are not connected; one RAM module in slot B2 is present along with the CPU, GPU, and PSU. Also, no USB flash drive is connected.
