Question about an OC i7 9700k rog z390-h mob
Hello everyone, I hope you're all well. Please let me know if anyone here is running overclocking with an i7 9700k on an ASUS ROG Z390 motherboard. I need your BIOS settings, as the automatic AI overclocking isn't working well and doesn't provide stable performance. I'm looking for the latest BIOS settings since my current one is outdated and no suitable options are found online. My system specs are: i7 9700k, ROG Z390-H, master cooler liquid 240E, PSU 650 Bronze 80plus from Inox.
Each CPU is distinct, and your setup is one-of-a-kind. You can't simply copy values from others and expect it to function. I recommend a genuine overclocking manual: https://www.tweaktown.com/guides/8481/co...index.html
Turn off your BIOS, reset to the standard configuration...
Adjust your XMP/RAM settings to 3200 MHz or whatever fits your RAM...
Make sure MCE is turned on...(This action will try to run all cores at 4.6 GHz under stress, which should handle most systems, though it may cause thermal strain. If you're okay with that, you can easily increase peak speeds later using Intel's XTU.)
I'm testing an i7-9700k on an Asus mainboard. The AI tuning didn't apply to me either. What has helped is 1.35 volts on the CPU core, 5Ghz for all cores except a 200Mhz step-down for AVX instructions. I'm using an Evo-212 A with two fans, which are the loudest CFM I could find. It's not quiet but stays under about 70°C even during an 8-core GCC kernel build.
I think the CPU is limiting my performance on the RTX 3060 Ti even at default settings.
I don’t want to watch the copy-paste results because they don’t show balanced GPU and CPU usage, especially when I adjust for GPU usage in advanced settings.
In Call of Duty: Warzone, this issue affects how evenly the GPU and CPU are utilized.
the cpu temperature fluctuates wildly from 75 °C to 60 during the game
There's no reason to think an i7-9700K at stock is bottlenecking a 3060 Ti. And if it was, a few percentage points of additional power wouldn't change that considerably.
In any case, there's a reason that introductions to overclocking don't just give you a bunch of numbers to just plug in: that's not how you overclock properly or safely. This is one of those things that you either do correctly or don't do at all.
Ok whenever I play warzone on i7 9700k at stock speed the gpu usage does not even reach its 90% usage and sometimes 60%.
What can i call that ? And if there is away to improve thaf plz do not hesitqte to share it with me.
For your information my cpu was already overclocked and somehow i lost my oc settings and i reached that level of 9t% gpu usage and above
