This setup would run with a 4ghz base clock and over 1066mhz for RAM, which is a bit high. Speedstep works well when the PC is idle. The 920 at 3.6ghz is correct now, and temperatures on the D0 system look stable. Another system has higher temps by about 10 degrees Celsius (same OC).
Ram performs better at faster rates when the system is stable. It depends on the CPU/ram voltage and timing settings. Of course, heat plays a role—don’t want to overheat the CPU. I adjusted the speed step to prevent any issues that could lead to my OC failing.
Got the C0/C1 @4ghz (your settings), temperatures were a bit higher during the same session in bf4, from 65/67 to 70 on some cores, with some cores at 65c. Looks okay. The system has a blend of 1333/1600 RAM, which will be tested later on the d0 920 with its 1066/1333 mix setup. Speedstep/turbo/ht is left enabled.

On the D0 platform, the system doesn't always launch; it sometimes starts and other times doesn't. I receive a notification that the OC failed, and trying F10 save and exit could help. Once the system boots up, everything functions properly. I've encountered this issue even at lower overclocks (3.4ghz). I don't know what's causing it.
This setup performs significantly better than C0/C1, being about 10c faster. The C0/C1 model runs around 65 to 70%, which isn't a major concern.
Updated to 21x170 with the same configurations; both systems displayed blue screens everywhere. Looks stable now.
Times are fine, but inconsistent RAM performance wouldn't help much here. At that high overclock stage, memory sensitivity becomes a bigger issue. It might be achievable for stability, but you'd need to avoid automatic memory configurations.
I want to check on my OC, it's now stable at 3.6Ghz, showing a big boost in BF4 TDM 64player maps where I previously faced huge lag. It’s now perfectly smooth.
However, I have a peculiar issue: after about two hours, the game starts to experience heavy microstutter, then it restarts and everything works again. The problem only appears after that two-hour mark, with everything fine before. This began following the OC, and no other issues beyond occasional PC boot warnings (which suggest a bad OC) or saving fixes in the BIOS, which happens rarely.
Edit: temperatures are normal, between 55 and 60 degrees for the CPU, GPU max is still around 73, just like before.
The failed overclock might stem from both RAM being different, making it hard to pinpoint, but it's clear someone could point the blame.
Micro stutters often appear after extended play sessions when the game isn't efficiently transferring data, causing the pagefile to expand.
It seems you should consider using two sets of Gskill 1600 with 4GB each. You might be able to run four sticks in dual channel on a triple channel board, or three 4GB sticks in triple mode—adding more RAM could help. Improving the RAM might also push the chip further.
And if you don’t have an SSD, installing Windows on it would provide better pagefile speeds.
