Lol yea, I didn't figure they'd be fantastic. I went ahead and purchased it all with some Artic MX-6 paste. I stuck with the 205M Mesh case and bought one set of fans because it did save a few bucks. I bought the MoBo, CPU, and one of the SSDs on Newegg so those won't be here in time for me to build it before I have to go house sit my aunt's place for a while but it should be getting built before October! I'll post a picture once it's up and running.
Thank you for taking the time to explain everything. I really appreciate answers with the "why" as opposed to just "do this."

So the machine is officially assembled! Unfortunately, I had a terrible migraine while working on it, which led me to tackle the hardware part and then the software. I’m definitely not someone who likes software, and I’m sure my problems could have been avoided by searching online—but migraine... I couldn’t install Windows 11 without an internet connection, and when it asked if I wanted to sync the desktop and settings to the laptop, I declined. It still did anyway, so I had to reset everything because it downloaded a lot of data onto the drives. Later I realized you could use a command prompt to bypass the internet requirement. The other issue was that both SSDs were the same size, making it hard to tell which one was which during the OS installation 🤦‍♀️, so I ended up having to replace the Gen 4 drive to install the Gen 5 OS.

I kept the two 140mm intake fans in the front and used the 120mm three-pack for a rear exhaust, a top rear exhaust, and a top front intake. Idle/light internet browsing and tweaking settings were challenging; the CPU was at 35° and the motherboard at 30°.

In total, I think I spent around $1000.00. I’m quite satisfied so far (I plan to run some web-based software soon, but the migraine is still lingering and I don’t feel great). I believe the device will last a long time. I might add more storage later—I’m not sure yet—since she wants to keep data longer. This build has plenty of space (except for the huge cooler) and it’s extremely quiet. The video I recorded shows rain and cars driving in the rain over the computer. My little laptop fan is much louder than the tower.

Hopefully this link works?
Next step will be to handle the NAS setup, but since my migraine persists and I’m occupied, it won’t happen soon.
Thank you for all your help!!
Edit - It seems I struggle with using imgur, so the link isn’t working... Hold on.

Better 'note to future self': Keep only one drive connected during the OS install, regardless of its capacity. How To - Windows 11 clean install tutorial This guide walks you through a clean installation of Windows 11 version 23H2 or later, and it works for earlier versions too, even though the screens might look different but will be mostly similar. forums.

It would really have been beneficial! I ended up completing the installation using just that one in.

Very good build. Also, neat cable management (though not everyone likes this). With OS installed, you can switch to a local account if you prefer, see the guide here: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/change-mi...windows-10 I also finished our new builds a few days ago and changed both PC user accounts to local ones. Nice round number. However, I spent a bit more on the builds. And I didn’t buy everything new. Talking about it, here are the builds I completed: link: https://forums. I went with the same CPU cooler and OS drive you did. Both are excellent options. 👍

Great! I appreciate how you designed them to match those specifications.
