I run a computer repair shop and am joining several local fairs. I’m planning a short video or arcade-style game that fits my brand. The idea is to reward players with better prizes as they earn more points, but they must register first—this helps maintain engagement and aligns with my business model. I’m considering a retro-themed “virus destruction” game with simple controls and quick gameplay. It should be easy to make using GameMaker.

1. try this alternative instead: https://alexnisnevich.github.io/untrusted/
2. you could overload a machine with fake malware and leave clues about their positions; some of these could be shielded by read/write rights, while others would bombard you with pop-ups or force a system restart.
3. consider using an outdated computer and have it assemble itself on the fly, then time yourself and impose penalties for faulty or incomplete builds.

Think about a fast-paced, arcade-inspired computer repair game. Players could collect parts or tools to fix machines, earning rewards like candy. Include challenges that mimic Pac-Man or Space Invaders—like navigating obstacles or timing-based tasks. Keep it simple and engaging for casual players.

We provide these tasks to first and second-year computer science bachelor students at various competitions and gatherings. It might be challenging enough for a regular town fair, so consider opting for more engaging options like Space Invaders or Pac-Man online.

Aimed to add a fresh twist, bringing my personal touch to the game. Could take a Pac-Man vibe, but you're the ghost trying to halt Pac-Man (the virus) from consuming all your data. It could even be a cooperative experience!
