Question 9700K不超过4.5Ghz在AVX加载下运行
I'm working on my initial OC project using a new 9700K build on a Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro board. I'm struggling to achieve chip speeds above 4.5Ghz under AVX loads with Prime95. I've managed stable Cinebench performance at 5.0Ghz and 1.405V, but Prime95 only runs when AVX offset is set to 5. I can find combinations that hit 4.5Ghz without exceeding it, but anything higher crashes the system. I've tried turbo and extreme LLC settings, as well as different voltages, without success. Am I making a mistake or just unlucky with my hardware? If Prime95 consistently fails above 4.5Ghz, should I stick to 5.0Ghz with no offset or adjust to a lower frequency? My main concern is maintaining good performance for export tasks in Lightroom and Premiere Pro, so I'm unsure about the optimal settings.
Prime95 is usually used for heat testing but also checks stability. It's recommended to run realbench for 8 hours on your overclock to verify stability.
Yes, you should focus on getting your OC stable in Prime95 first, then check stability in Realbench if needed.
After extensive testing on Realbench, Cinebench and Prime95, I’ve decided the stock configuration will perform better than any possible overclock I can achieve. At stock, the chip operates at 4.6Ghz with a voltage of 1.34V, while temperatures remain in the 70s during RealBench and Cinebench tests, and reach the 90s in Prime95.
I haven’t managed to stabilize any overclocks above 4.6Ghz even with AVX offset, and definitely not at lower voltages. I’ve reached speeds of 5.0Ghz with 5 AVX at 1.42V or 4.9Ghz with 4 AVX at 1.44V, but these won’t be sustainable long-term.
I might have missed out on the silicone upgrade, but at least the chip is running as expected. I’m content with this performance and won’t worry about losing a few megahertz—it’ll prevent any damage to my board over time.
