Hello, your current setup uses an XFX 7900 GRE with a 5600X processor. I’m curious how a 5700X3D clocked at 4.1GHz would influence non-gaming tasks like virtualization, compression, and decompression. Would a 0.5GHz reduction in boost clock have a noticeable impact, and if so, how significant would it be? I’d rather clarify this before making a decision.

You can observe the changes. I frequently switched between my 5900X and 5800X3D every couple of weeks. A noticeable gap exists between 5150MHz and 4550MHz. The cache performs well for gaming though.

If possible, I’d purchase 5800X3D but can’t locate someone willing to sell it. It’s a powerful CPU, and upgrading to AM5 wouldn’t be necessary given the good performance of this hardware. The GPU should handle 1440p and 4K playback well, so I’m not keen on making the change.

I totally get it. I spent around 650CAD on mine when it launched, and they're still selling close to that price, right? I won't sell it or any of my other Zen 3 components.

I offer items at a competitive price, but you shouldn't expect much! I paid 260 euros (well under my 3600) and included free shipping. (Mindfactory) I suggest the AM5 model since upgrading from AM4 won't offer much benefit, particularly for mixed loads, and ATT is essentially pointless. Honestly, my 7940hx performs better than the 5800xd in almost all cases.

You release several clocks while boosting performance by two cores and four threads. This setup should give you an edge in demanding applications. I plan to test this exact configuration once I have the chance to replace the hardware. 7900GRE and 2700X to 5700X3D.
