Hello all This is a query from the UK but I hope it has relevance for those of you lucky/unlucky enough to hail from overseas. Having managed to escape early from our contract with Talktalk, our broadband provider, we have moved to a new service. However, they elected to send us their Sagemcom 5364 Fast router, as a final bid to keep us as a paying customer. Our new router works just fine however I'm also aware that the Sagemcom device has a much stronger WiFi signal. Does anyone have any knowledge of getting the aforementioned device, which I suspect to be locked to the original provider, to work with our new service? Thanks in advance for your replies.

I wasn't just emphasizing your argument to make your case obvious. In fact, at some stage that so-called "free" router would be unfair to charge you a monthly rental fee. For improved Wi-Fi, you could always purchase an AP and place it in the dead zone.
