Quantum system experienced a sudden shutdown.
I purchased Quantum Break and installed it today. When I start the new game, the first cut scene appears for 20 to 30 seconds before it crashes. This causes Discord and Spotify to freeze, sometimes hitting the GPU and CPU at high usage percentages. I disabled NVIDIA settings and the Discord overlay didn’t resolve it. This is the first time a game behaves this way. On my system (CPU 57°C under load, GPU 75-76°C under load, running latest drivers), I’ve played games like Detroit: Become Human, GTA V, Watch Dogs, CS:GO, Forza Horizon, and Motorsport without such issues. When Spotify crashes, I see a "The instruction at 0x00000000 referenced memory at 0x00000000" error. What’s happening? Anyone know anything about this?
I’m not sure, but my lack of understanding makes me think the all zeros command and memory spots can’t be real. That’s why I’m considering reinstalling the game since it seems like a corrupted file. I might also share that this odd occurrence happened at the download source, just in case others experienced it too.
This will require another 1.5 days, actually. I've noticed some users mention problems with passing cut scenes, but I didn't find any solutions. Some suggested updating Windows, though I'm using the latest version with all updates and patches installed.
After restarting and launching the game again, it crashes within 5 to 6 seconds and also causes Discord to crash. While using around 11 GB of RAM out of a total 16 GB, the system runs low on memory.
