Hi, I purchased the Windows edition of Quantum Break through the Xbox Store when it first launched. I didn’t realize it wouldn’t be compatible with the Xbox One at the same time. Since I don’t own an Xbox, Windows was the only option available to me. People are well aware of the poor quality it delivered—my rig had two 970GTX cards, and running the game required extremely low settings, which was quite challenging (see sig). Eventually, I waited for patches, but nothing changed. I read that Remedy Entertainment won’t provide updates or fixes for performance issues on the Windows version, especially since they released a Steam edition instead. That’s why I’m frustrated. Recently, I upgraded to a 1080GTX and tried running QB at 1440P with high settings. Unfortunately, it didn’t work—performance is still terrible, just like back then when trying to play AAA games on non-dedicated GPUs. I reached out to Microsoft a few nights ago in hopes of getting a refund, but they haven’t helped much. They seemed to be stuck in a loop. Anyone have any success with refunds or workarounds? How did you manage it? Thanks.

This version is really disappointing. Even with the Steam edition, it doesn’t run smoothly. I’m stuck using medium settings with upscaling to hit 60 frames per second at 1080p on my 970, which seems excessive given it was likely upscaled from 720p.

I think the game appears fine, but the Windows Store version would need to be tested at 1080p medium resolution on my 1080 display, which isn’t ideal. I was attempting to request a refund so I could purchase the Steam edition, which is expected to perform slightly better.
