Hey everyone, after waiting three months for my 3900X, it finally arrived. I used the 1600x I had on my X570-E motherboard for BIOS updates, but when I powered up, I got a 02 error and a black screen. I double-checked every cable and connection, confirmed everything was secure, and even tried flashing the BIOS which disabled the 1600X. I reset the CMOS and thought maybe it was the processor itself. My friend tried it on a 3600X with an M.2 drive and it worked perfectly. I’m wondering if there’s a known fix or further troubleshooting steps I should try. My system specs are: Asus ROG X570-E, AMD Ryzen 3900X, GSKILL Trident Z Neo 32GB, Corsair H150i Seasonic Focus 750W.
It seems the motherboard you use with the 3900x typically returns a Qcode 2. This could indicate a CPU issue—verify the pins and ensure all connections are secure.

I resolved the issue, it turns out the first boot on an Asus ROG x570-e motherboard with two identical boards results in 02, 25 or 8d errors. I was confused for hours and tried various fixes. The solution came when I switched to using a HDMI cable instead of DisplayPort. It was my last resort—I rebuilt and reassembled the PC multiple times before finding this worked! Fishboy1996, you helped me avoid a big issue. In 2022 I faced the same challenge. I had to ship this motherboard 4322 km twice before it worked, and even then the second time it said "Tested OK" but still had an error 02 in the Q code. By then it was almost time to use a sledgehammer. I came across this thread and everything is resolved now. It was all thanks to a 4K Display Port cable 404. You probably didn’t think ASUS would notice this by then—thanks again, fishboy1996! You really deserve it.
