I bought a new laptop (acer nitro 5 AN515-58) that has an intel core i7 12700H, 16GB of ram, an rxt 3060 140 tgb, a 1 tera ssd, and windows 11. I keep connecting the charger and the battery is always at 100%, but I am afraid that keeping it plugged in will damage the battery because maybe I should unplug it? Does it really matter if my laptop stays plugged all the time?

Laptop batteries usually run out eventually, but they need a new one soon or far later anyway. It could happen months from now or after fifteen years of use. But if you leave the laptop connected to power all day, that will shorten how long the battery lasts. However, when you are gaming, it must stay plugged in to get the best performance. If you aren't playing games, just leave it unplugged and put it back on whenever the battery gets low.
