PWR unit 850W not powering on
Hey, I just purchased this rog thor 850W PSU. It's been two days since I used it and it's completely failed. Only the SATA drive was connected, and pins 3 and 4 were jumped on the MB connector (3 -COM)(4-PWR). At first it was drawing about 10W, which seemed normal and worked fine for two days. Then it started drawing an odd amount of power—around 57W just for the SATA drive. The next day I turned it on and it spiked to 97W then 180W. I immediately decided to shut it off because it never came back online, no matter what I tried. I contacted ASUS, who said they'd investigate it. I also checked with a multimeter—power pin on the MB connector was showing 2.4V and another pin gave 5V, but there were no signs of life. Can this PSU be fixed? I'm really concerned, especially since the SATA drive is crucial for my 480GB BX500. Thanks, Bhargav.
Did you utilize the cables included with the power supply, or did you opt for different ones?
